Well, the easiest topic of this is humans. We know all the rules of offspring and sex cells. The sperm cell in males is the one that does the traveling to the egg cell in females. But with 2 egg cells and no sperm? There is actually a way to bypass that.

One part shows 3 sources of genetic info within an egg cell, one from sperm, one from egg, and one from directly injected DNA from another human. So maybe this is possible without the sperm?
