Cyborg (full name Cyborg Stone) is a black half-human, half-robot originally from DC Comics that appears in Konnichiku's Touhou Myotanpen Walfas series.
Appearance[]
It's hard to describe Cyborg. He's a well-built black human male teenager with a silver cybernetic body; the right half of his face, most of his right arm, his left hand, and his legs and feet are all cybernetic. He has an arm cannon in place of a right hand. There's also a red insignia on his chest and belt. His hair is black and his human left eye is brown. He sometimes wears a grey sweatshirt.
Personality[]
Cyborg is a young and innocent teenager, always friendly and polite (i.e. always introducing himself with "In case you don't know me." ("僕を知らないなら")) He's extremely happy with his robotic body and considers his powers "cool." If he ever gets sad, it's a problem. He tends to over-exaggerate things (such as calling Gensokyo "the most dangerous place on the planet") and sometimes acts over the top. And, as Reimu notes early on in his first appearance, he seems to have a passion for things that spin like gyroscopes. His catchphrase is "BOO-YAH!"
Powers and Abilities[]
Cyborg is a walking information bank, plugged into every computer on Earth and in Gensokyo, and able to retrieve any data with just a thought; which he uses on Kaguya Houraisan with questionable results. His cybernetics provide superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, rivaling that of Yuugi, Aya, and Gengetsu.
Cyborg can also reconfigure his mechanical body with an assortment of high-tech enhancements, including rocket boots for flight and his arm cannon, which generates high-frequency sonic blasts. Utsuho Reiuji is notably impressed by it.
Able to upgrade himself with the latest cutting-edge technology, Cyborg is ready to fight any new threat that stands in his way!
Despite all that, he doesn't know any danmaku. Reimu, however, is trying to teach him. Again and again. And again.
History[]
It's unknown how Cyborg became the way he is now, but sometime in the late 2010s, he found himself in Gensokyo as he apparently lived close to the barrier. Fujiwara no Mokou was the first to find him, and attempted to get to know him. Reimu Hakurei soon learned of his existence; upon meeting him, she developed a crush on him. (Episode 2a: "Enter Cyborg")
Reimu and Cyborg eventually got intimate, and it became known among some Gensokyians, causing Cyborg to be worried sick and Reimu to confess. (Episode 4a: "Make it Last")
Cyborg eventually trains Reimu in a way that gets her dizzy. (Episode 7b: "Cyber Spin")
When Reisen gets sick, she eventually learns Cyborg is sick, too. (Episode 11a: "We Caught a Cold")
After Reimu leaves Suika Ibuki's annual feast, she heads to where Cyborg is residing so she can screw him. (Episode 12c: "Night Parade")
Cyborg becomes fast friends with VIVIT. (Episode 14a: "Meet VIVIT")
Trivia[]
- Cyborg is possibly the only character from any Western media ever depicted as a Gensokyo resident in Touhou fanworks.
- Even though he isn't an actual Touhou character, he is the first black character in a Touhou-related work, and the first black male.
- Konnichiku chose to put Cyborg in since she has a crush on him, this must be why Reimu has one also.
- His theme song is "Unknown Being from Outside ~ Energy Charge."
- If Touhou Myotanpen were to have voice acting, Konnichiku has stated she wants Bumper Robinson to voice Cyborg.
- It's unknown if Cyborg is aware of this or not, but Patchouli Knowledge has a crush on him as well.
- He is similar to Erich from Seihou for obvious reasons. This is why VIVIT likes him.
- Cyborg can read Esperanto.
