Koishi Komeiji
- Not to be confused with the real Koishi Komeiji.
This Koishi in hand, is actually Satori Komeiji's mother's friend's daughter, who happens to have the surname 'Komeiji' in different kanji. Koishi is older than Satori and the other Koishi. However, Koishi left her family after her young sister, Moyoto was born and went Koishi went to live with the other Komeiji. After, the mother had a daughter, Satori. The day after Satori's birth, Koishi ran away. Koishi's desire was to be the only child and spoiled, thus her escape. She went to find a family without a child for the benefits.
However, no one accepted her. They were afraid of suddenly thinking of bad thoughts that Koishi might read, since she has a third eye. Koishi got upset and wanted to destroy her third eye. She snapped it, which caused her to change. The colours of her body changed and she accidentally ran into her true mother. Her mother was horrified of her acts and cursed her as a punishment. Now Koishi has a strange black smoke around her, making her hard to see. This made finding a family even harder.
Eventually, Koishi was forced to live solitarily. Years of hatred surrounding her gave her the manipulation of hatred. This only caused Koishi to become sadder. She could only manipulate hatred meaning she had no love around her. What's worse, the mother's curse caused her to act subconsciously. That means she subconsciously manipulated hatred for herself.
One day, Koishi heard about the events of Subterranean Animism. She found out that some of her acquaintances were involved. She went to check out the Moriya Shrine. Sanae Kochiya caused a miracle on Koishi, falling rain on her. Koishi actually felt happier. Koishi did not see Suwako or Kanako.
Koishi is rather self-centred and doesn't seem to care about it. She is a lot different to the other Koishi in personality. This Koishi seems to be aware of the other Koishi and somewhat despises her. Anthropologically, Koishi is hated but Koishi does as she wishes. She has the 'I don't give a damn anymore, I'll just do as I please and that's all there is to it' feeling. After all, her own heart is sealed and crushed.
Fun Facts
- The first Koishi (小石) means 'Little Rock' while the second Koishi (恋子) means 'Child of Love' (ironic). The first Komeiji (湖命寺) means 'Lake Life Temple' while the second Komeiji (黄美慈) means 'Yellow Beautiful Love'.
- The second Koishi can also be pronounced 'Renko'. Hmm, Renko Usami?
- It's unknown why she has two sets of names.
- Although the two Koishi's aren't exactly connected, the meanings for the names are connected in many ways. The first Koishi (little rock) is what Suwako mistaked her name to be during Subterranean Animism and the second Koishi (child of love) is what 'Koishi' is supposed to mean, or technically, 'beloved'. Maybe there is some huge connected with the two Koishi's!
- The image used for this Koishi is a blurred, negative image of Satori. It's similar to Senshi and Tenshi...
- Suggestion: Invert this picture. It's Satori-sama!!!!
Shinikoto no Nomiko
An Evil Spirit of a former human, Nomiko was a beautiful lady who often walked through deserted streets. However, because of the dangerous city she lived one, she was kidnapped and killed. However, not just any murder, she was tied and dumped in the sea. Although the airless world was not the cause of her fatality, but she was unlucky enough to be chewed up by a shark. Her spirit rose to Shikieiki Yamaxanadu by chance. Nomiko was reincarnated, but as an evil spirit. As a Funayuurei, most people began fearing her and stopped going on cruises.
Despite being a Funayuurei, Nomiko never capsized ships or poured water from ladles; insted, she actually began learning a strange black magic she would learn from a certain kappa. This gave her the ability to forbid certain moves. Imagine if you are Yukari Yakumo. You are about to escape from a gap, but out of the blue, you can't create gaps anymore. Say you are Yuyuko Saigyouji. You attempt to invoke death, however your ability has been disabled. That is quite annoying, isn't it?
Shikieiki made a big mistake. Reviving Nomiko was a bad idea. Instead of capsizing ships, Nomiko did something worse; forbig other's abilities to make them work harder. Sometimes Sakuya was unable to stop time, so she was overworked sometimes. She only disrupted the people of Gensokyo. Her ability also allows her to stay still—useful for commiting serious crimes.
It is said that Yuyuko Saigyouji's ability frightened Yuyuko and lead to her suicide. People eventually legally said that was correct, however the truth hid undisturbed in a corner. In fact, it was Nomiko who killed her. By preventing her ability and stopping her from moving, Nomiko easily slaughtered her out of self-enjoyment. Luckily for Nomiko, Yuyuko forgot everything when she became a ghost.
Nomiko loves to visit places and haunt them secretly, so she visited the Scarlet Devil Mansion to play some tricks on the little sister, Flandre Scarlet. While freezing maids, by the time she reached Sakuya Izayoi, it was too late. Sakuya had already froze time before Nomiko could perform her dirty trick. Sakuya beat up Nomiko, forcing her to leave the premises.
Nomiko died at sea, thus became a Funayuurei. However, the activities she does as part of her daily routine doesn't relate to her race at all. She is pretty devilish and wicked and doesn't care of others. Seeing that her life is already 'over', she does anything for self-amusement. That includes unnecessary mansalughter.
Fun Facts
- The picture used for Nomiko is one of the many colour palettes of a certain vampire, including Ketsuha no Miku.
- Her first name Nomiko literally means "Wild Magical Child". Her surname Shinikoto's characters translate to "Strange Death", probably referring to the way she was killed. You don't see people dumped in the sea and eaten by sharks these days quite often.
- If you can guess this 'certain kappa' who taught her forbidding skills, you get a cookie. It's not Nitori, by the way.
- Her ability disabling is quite similar to Mugi Tsumigu and Ritsu Kurosake...
Sanamu Hakuya
One quiet midnight, where no shrine maiden dare wake up, Reimu Hakurei and Sanae Kochiya arrange a meeting at a forest. They weren't happy with the lives they were living. Sanae and Reimu decided that they will form their own shrine and become the goddesses. Although, Sanae sort of already was a goddess, Reimu was still just a human.
To solve that problem, they fused together and became Sanamu Hakuya (or Reie Kochirei, but Sanamu Hakuya sounds better), a combination of their names. That way, they would become one and both goddesses. Then there would only need to be one goddess, no Great Hakuya Wars. Also, they gained the ability to make miracles occur and call in gods.
Without the permission of Kanako and Suwako, because Sanamu was much stronger than the two gods, Sanamu merged the Hakurei Shrine with the Moriya Shrine together to create the Hakuya Shrine. Hakuya Shrine was more popular and was often donated a lot of money and had plenty of visitors. The shrine became a big hit, until something happened.
One day, Sanamu was unaware that a new shrine had entered Gensokyo. This was the Ruzenmi Shrine. The Ruzenmi Shrine sought popularity, but realized just how amazing the Hakuya Shrine was. To have more chance of collecting faith, the owner of the shrine, Ruzenmi no Kanayo confronted Sanamu to tear her apart. Although Sanamu could have easily defeated Kanayo, but because of Kanayo's ability, they were ultimately defeated.
They were forced to break down the Hakuya Shrine, however it couldn't break. Instead, they detached the shrine so that it was two again, the Hakurei Shrine and Moriya Shrine. This also meant that Sanamu must disaffiliate and became separate again. Back to Reimu Hakurei and Sanae Kochiya. They went back to their old shrines.
The Hakurei and Moriya were quickly losing faith, as everyone now has tea at the Ruzenmi Shrine. Kanayo has a useful ability! And then the Kurosake Shrine entered and then—
Fun Facts
- Her surname and first name are supposed to be mixtures of Reimu Hakurei and Sanae Kochiya, the base characters. Hakuya could mean 'Prevade the Valley' and Sanamu could mean 'Rice Dream'.
