Welcome to another page of characters. Thanks to the troll brain!
This is probably my last page.
Nah, I doubt that... but...
My brain will run out of ideas one day, I know it will!
Makoto Kurobara
A little unnamed rose stood silently on a huge rose field. However, it was the odd one out. All the other roses were a deep red colour, however this certain rose was black.
One day, a roaming Koishi Komeiji went to the surface to roam. Koishi came across the beautiful rose field, until she realised the special black rose. Knowing it had some secrets behind it, she pulled out and took it back home at the Palace of the Earth Spirits. Koishi planted the rose in a pot. She took great care of the rose.
However, the rose withered and actually disappeared. Koishi cried in despair for about five days. However, Koishi took so much care of the rase that it became a special rose and evolved into a living, humanoid, youkai black rose. Treated with utmost care, she grew up to be beautiful, elegant and devoted to Koishi. She would do anything for her, really.
Koishi, happy that it became living, named it 'Makoto Kurobara' and bought her a pretty maid uniform. Makoto gladly wore it an even decided to become Koishi's maid, or in fact, the maid of the whole palace, which includes Rin Kaenbyou and Utsuho Reiuji. She loved her master so much, she even cared about her relatives.
Makoto was nicknamed 'Osei' to match Utsuho and Rin. Makoto quickly fit in with the rest of the residents, thanks to her polite attitude. She is very lucky Koishi took so much care of her. Her huge devotion has even lead to Makoto going out with Koishi to defend her from any harmful intruders.
Supposedly before the events of Subterranean Animism, when Utsuho decided to turn the surface into a hell, Rin along with Makoto panicked. Makoto told Rin she can stop Utsuho. When Utsuho fired a large bullet (aka mini sun) aimed at the surface, Makoto manipulated it. After all, she has the ability to manipulate hitbox. When Rin heard of this, she was surprised at a simple rose's high dexterity.
After, Rin drove the evil spirits up. When Koishi heard of what Makoto did to save the world, she felt so proud, she fed Makoto rose-food. Later when the heroine entered the Palace of the Earth Spirits, Makoto was sleeping. During the extra stage, Makoto slightly supported Koishi.
Osei is truly a devoted servant willing to do anything. What a wonderful family ^.^'
Fun Facts
- Her surname, Kurobara means 'Black Rose'. If read seperately, it means 'Black Thorned Flowering Fern'. Her name, Makoto means 'Faithfulness'. Like Utsuho and Rin, she has a nickname beginning with 'O'. Makoto's kanji can also be pronounced 'Sei' hence her nickname 'Osei'.
- But her profile states that Kurobara Makoto was not her real name, she wasn't even named. Koishi named her to match Rin and Utsuho's name, both have one kanji in their first name and three in their last.
- If she had an English name, it would be 'Rosa Blackthorn'. Rosa sounds similar to Rose and Blackthorn is a reference to her species.
Mikishoujo no Kisakiya
Once upon a time, in a world far far away, I mean, in Kyoto, there was a royal family; the Mikishoujo. Their daughter became the latest princess of Kyoto. Her name is Kisakiya. Kisakiya grew up to be beautiful, smart and popular. However, one day, a youkai invaded her city. However, when Kisakiya faced the youkai, a scratch didn't even peel her skin.
That's when her mother learnt something strange. Kisakiya had full resistance to all youkai's strength and she would never be hurt by one. However, this lead to her mother panicking, as she was not a full human. That day, Kisakiya wept because her titles as the princess of Kyoto was ripped off. They could not accpet a half human as the official princess of Kyoto.
She still had a right to live in Kyoto Shiro. However, one day, there was another youkai attack. A professional, yet careful detective went to investigate the matter. It turned out that the youkai was someone from Gensokyo. They asked Kisakiya to head there, as she had a chance against the youkai.
Upon entering Gensokyo, she met Yukari Yakumo who wondered why Kisakiya would even take a step in Gensokyo. Yukari gave her a quick danmaku battle, but Kisakiya easily beat her with punches and kicks. Aya, intrigued by this instantly went to reasearch her.
Most people believed her to be some legendary god, having resistance to youkai. However, she was just 'coincidentally' born that way. As Kisakiya investigated, she met a boastful Cirno, who claimed to be the strongest fairy. The moment Kisakiya saw Cirno's face and heard her voice, Kisakiya knew she was the youkai who attacked Kyoto.
Kisakiya challenged her to a danmaku battle. Although Kisakiya couldn't even shoot danmaku, she still beat Cirno with average punch and kicks because she felt no pain. After calling Kisakiya a cheater, she told Kisakiya why she did it. She felt sick of other bestiary constantly calling her weak, so she attacked Kyoto to show how powerful she was.
Cirno was punished and Kisakiya returned home. They cheered for her and granted her a wish. Although Kisakiya wanted to become a princess again, she couldn't, so her wish was, "Turn this into a youkai, BUT PEACEFUL city so I can be the princess.".
What happens next? Find out next time, on DRAGON BALL Z! (jks)
Fun Facts
- Mikishoujo means 'Beautiful Princess Maiden'. Kisakiya means 'Consort Night'.
- If she had an English name, it would be 'Reyna Flowerdream'. Her name was going to be 'Prina' as a reference to 'Princess', however 'Reyna' was more fitting. Flowerdream may be a reference to the flowers she has.
Muyou Pakukon
There once was a half human and a phantom hybrid. She was named something strange, so she never ended up remembering it. She was orphaned at a very early age, so she was raised by a ghost lady named Koyuyu Jigyousai. One day, Koyuyu took her to Youki Konpaku, a katana teacher. There, she learnt how to use a katana.
She met Youmu Konpaku, a fellow student. The moment she saw Youmu, she felt rivalry upon her very eyes. That's when she decided to name herself 'Muyou Pakukon' and never showed her face in front of Youmu. To avoid her, Muyou placed an illusion on her face. Ever since that day Youmu became her rival, Muyou practiced the katana 18 hours a day. She spent six hours doing chores. This included tending the gardens in her residing spot, Kokutakarano. Kokutakarano had lots of beautiful flowers blooming and it is said to be 200 yojana long, similar to Hakugyokurou.
Muyou carries two blades like Youmu does, so its 'fair' when she's fighting her. The first is called 黒星剣 (Kuroseiken, lit. Black Star Sword) and it's the longer one. It is said to be able to swipe the moon in half (Eirin doesn't approve). The second one is called 恋像剣 (Renzouken, lit. Lovely Image Sword) and it's the shorter one. It can steal someone's affection to control them.
Like Youmu, Muyou runs very fast and is loyal to her master, Koyuyu. However, she is still no match for Youmu, she once nearly broke her Kuroseiken. Muyou still trains daily, hoping she will beat Youmu one day.
It is quite coincidental that they bear a striking resemblance. Because of her blurred image, Youmu isn't aware of their similar appearance. At random times, Muyou would confront Youmu to see how much she has improved. Youmu, still a lot better than Muyou cuts Muyou's mask in half, shattering it. To avoid letting Youmu find the truth that she is a fellow student of Youki, Muyou excuses herself in a hurry and runs with superhuman speed.
Muyou is still a sword fighter in training. She is not good enough to be considered a proper swordfighter. However, she can beat youkai in a danmaku battle. Muyou will never give up trying to beat Youmu and until she does, she will restlessly train.
Also like Youmu, her personality is relatively serious and straightforward, however not exactly smart.
Fun Facts
- Her name is the same as Youmu's, except the kanji swapped around. Muyou means 'Bewitching Dream' and Pakukon means 'Soul'.
- Because she always hides her face from her rival and it gets cut in half by the rival, ChocolateLily compares Muyou with Meta Knight from Kirby.
- Her picture is actually a blurred and lightened picture of Youmu Konpaku. It is quite similar to Senshi and Koishi.
- If she had an English name, it would be 'Soula Ghostblade'. Soula contains the world 'Soul'. Ghostblade is a reference to her species and her swords.
Orenji
In a strange twisted world, there were Lunarians who had a child, but was not a Lunarian. She was in fact, a phoenix. Her name was Orenji. She had powerful fire powers and she was very careful with them. She also had the ability to delete anything and everything. However, she was still a gullible child and accidentally deleted most of her fire powers.
One day, Yukari Yakumo invaded the moon. Her mother feared Orenji's safety and Orenji instantly evacuated to earth. Although that was stupid, she had a chance of survival, as she was not a Lunarian, but a youkai phoenix (what a retarded family). Orenji landed in Gensokyo. Although she was still not a Lunarian, being raised on the moon gives you super powers (LOL) because of their difference in strength and divinity to earthlings. Her weak fire powers were like double master sparks to the earthlings.
She took advantage of that, and decided to become a famous heroine in Gensokyo. She would help people who were in trouble and defeat the bad people (such as Kanako). Later, the rate of crimes occurring in Gensokyo decreased greatly, as they all feared Orenji. Many started to look up to her wanted to be trained by her.
Orenji also had another advantage when battling others; she could delete anything and everything. Although, once something is deleted, it cannot be restored. So they are afraid if their magic powers may be deleted from their lives by Orenji. Now, Gensokyo's residents lived in peace.
However, a certain magician started to get bored of boring Gensokyo. This was Marisa Kirisame. She wanted to see what Orenji was like, so Marisa invaded her home. When Orenji woke to battle her, Marisa, who borrow Shinikoto no Nomiko's powers, stopped Orenji from using her abilities and ultimately defeated her. Orenji became severely injured, her wings fell off and her power became limited. She could only use her ability once a day.
Knowing that she could no longer protect the human and youkai around her, Orenji gave up being a heroine. Instead, she decided to move to the Myouren Temple, where she believed more people would accept her. She was very quick to befriend Kyouko Kasodani. Now those two spend most of their time trying to recite unlearnable sutras together.
Before they discovered the kanji for 'Orenji', they nicknamed her Daichan because they thought it meant 'Orange'. However, Orenji didn't mind, they still let her be called Daichan.
Fun Facts
- Her name Orenji means 'The Lotus Temple' probably referring to Myouren Temple, although it can mean 'Orange'. Her nickname, 'Daichan' means 'Orange-chan'. Hence her name, Orenji.
- She has no relationships with Orange, Chen or Daiyousei.
- If she had an English name, it would be 'Amber Wingless'. Amber is an orange-yellow colour and Wingless is a reference to her lost wings.
Nina
Nina is a good benevolent spirit and Mima's younger sister. They were both former humans who lived in a small cottage next to the Youkai Mountain, where no one could possibly find it. Mima loved strong power and was often confident and boastful. Mima taught Nina the powerful magic Mima wrote in her grimoire. Nina became powerful like her sister.
However, this was an evil magic that spreads malevolence upon others. Nina began to hate her sister's evil ways and ran out of the house. Then, a tengu discovered their secret home. Because the Youkai Mountain, or they say so belonged to kappa and tengu, their home was demolished.
Mima got angry at Nina and killed her. The Shinto gods could not forgive Mima for doing such a horrible acted and ultimately executed her. A shinigami picked up Mima's spirit, however Mima escaped and began a life as an Evil Spirit. Whereas Nina, the Shinto gods believed she deserved another chance and resurrected her as a good spirit.
A new problem arrived. Although she was good, the Shinto gods' powers weren't strong enough to make her look like a good spirit. She gave a cursed appearance, making her look like some bewitched undead. Not many people trusted Nina.
She decided to hang around the Human Village to help any humans to try and gain their trust. However, everyone feared her, and Keine had to deal with her. Keine disallowed spirits to stick around the Human Village. Still, Nina refused to leave, because she wanted to be with humans, something she was long ago. Nina was able to gain Keine's trust; and everyone trusted Keine.
Visitors who aren't familiar with the Human Village consider Nina an intruder and often attack her. Nina still uses magic, however the good spirit of her made the magic Mima taught her something more fortunate and pleasant.
Because Nina has a new life, she explored Gensokyo. She came across the Hakurei Shrine and was surprised to see her old sis'. Mima threatened to kill her, but Nina quickly called the miko, Reimu Hakurei and Reimu quickly sealed her back into the hokora before things get damn serious.
It should be noted that ChocolateLily loves Mima. Mima is really not that crappy in canon. It's just a story!!!
Fun Facts
- Her name Nina means 'Benevolent Name'. It is supposed to sound similar to 'Mima'.
- If she had an English name, it would be 'Nina Goodsprite'. Nina is already an English name itself, and Goodsprite is homage to her goodness. Although, this would contradict her sister's name, as she is not a 'Goodsprite'. Perhaps the surname 'Spiritmage' would be more appropriate.
Suitsu Ketsukawa
Suitsu was a unique youkai, she had a huge disability that caused her to have no youkai strength whatsoever. But Suitsu was very hardworking and had high-tech skills. She ended up building her own special weapon, a hand drill. It's now her main weapon in battle and a convenient tool when smashing through walls.
Since she had low power, she created her own familiar, Kurumi to protect her. Kurumi is a vampire. Kurumi is very devoted to Suitsu. Suitsu became feared because of her demonic drill. Suitsu did not use it to slaughter others though, she used it for mechanical works, since she is very high-tech. She fixes products and specialises with the hand drill she created.
The Lake of Blood was empty, so Suitsu thought it would be no problem to reside there. With her familiar, she lives there. Kurumi guards when Suitsu goes out, for example, to the Great Youkai Forest below the Youkai Mountain.
Hina Kagiyama lives in the Great Youkai Forest. Suitsu trains her skills with Hina, who is glad to help her any time. Maybe that shows how much of a nice person Hina actually is. In fact, Hina enjoys playing with Suitsu herself, as Hina also hones her battle powers. Now Hina is probably worth a stage 3 or 4 boss instead 2. Strangely enough, Hina doesn't not know a thing about Kurumi.
One day, there was a strange thunderstorm. It was tremendous and powerful and lasted for three consecutive days. As a result, the Hakurei Shrine crumbled into rubble. Reimu left it there for a while, however during the events of Lotus Land Story, Reimu felt the huge power surge coming from the Lake of Blood. Also, coincidentally, Reimu called Suitsu to fix her shrine for her. Suitsu left to go to the Hakurei Shrine, leaving Kurumi to guard the lake.
Reimu said, "I am going out, I leave the rest to you." so Suitsu fixed the shrine. Meanwhile, Reimu visited the Lake of Blood, as she suspected the power surge was coming from there. Reimu battled with Kurumi and Kurumi falls in defeat. Suitsu never found out about Reimu's confrontation with Kurumi.
Sometimes, Suitsu sees Elly because they live quite close. They talk every now and then when no one is invading Mugenkan.
Suitsu is very hardworking! YEAH!
Fun Facts
- Ketsukawa means 'Lake of Blood' or 'Bloody River', making a reference to her home. Suitsu means 'Capital Drill', homage to her ability.
- Her picture is a picture of Eve Neuschwanstein from Needless.
- If she had an English name, it would be 'Cornelia Eledrill'. Cornelia is based on the invetor of the electric drill's former wife and Eledrill is supposed to be a play on 'Electric Drill.'
