About Suika's phrase to Suwako
The current version translates Suika's phrase to Suwako like below;
| Suika | それにしても、勝手に地底世界に行ったり ただもんじゃないねぇ |
Even so, you can't just go to the underground world whenever you feel like it. |
|---|
I can't see the meaning of "whenever you feel like it", but I guess it means that "you can never go to such a place, because it is so far or hard to come, or because some youkai will attack you". But I'm not satisfied with the sentence, because "勝手に" and "ただもんじゃない" don't appear in the translated text. I think that "勝手に地底世界に行ったり" means "go to Underground without no permission" or implys "go to where only very strong humans or youkai can reach, by herself!". And "ただもんじゃないねぇ" is "you can't be an ordinary person"; "ただ" is "only, just, costing no money" "もん" is "person, guy", and the compound "ただもん (徒者, 只者)" means "ordinary person", whose negation is "extraordinary person". Is my translation weird, or does the current version of translation mean enough what I supposed? --Masuo64 08:33, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
