気符「無念無想の境地」 Spirit Token "State of Enlightenment" or Temperament Sign "State of Desirelessness and Thoughtlessness"

- About 気符: I think "temperament" is a little better, because "spirit" should be translated literally as "魂" or "霊". "気" is allowable to be translated as "spirit" when it concerns positive power to face something or somebody. Something like aggressive feeling in martial arts.
- About "無念...": "enlightenment" is bad, because it' possible to be understood as something like "one's state after being taught to understand Christianity more correctly". The Buddhist's last goal is to understand, feel, & sense nothing; to be almost equal to nothing (無). So I think the latter literal-translated way is better. --Masuo64 16:53, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
