There's a translation inconsistency for this SC. This page lists it as Perverse Love "Easy-Harvest Master Spark" , while the one here lists it as Illicit Love "Sure-Fire Master Spark". What should be used? Kiefmaster99 05:40, February 2, 2010 (UTC)
A recent TL change was made here by Nightside12 to Perversion "Sure-Fire Master Spark". Thus, I will be changing the one on the other page to this one. - Kiefmaster99 21:19, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, that was copied directly off the English Patch. "Easy-Harvest" is probably the literal translation. "Sure Fire" would probably be an attempted woolseyism. English Patch != 100% correct. !8RstuPId2Y 02:02, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
So long as the other page is consistent with this one. - Kiefmaster99 02:05, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
I'm kinda confused. So is the SC for this page "Sure-Fire" or "Easy-Harvest"? The english patch indicates it's "Sure-Fire" but is there some inconsistency that I may have missed?
Oh, I see that there's a mismatch in the name of the SC between Marisa's Player SC and Story Mode SC. Then wouldn't it be a good idea to keep the name as it is for this page? (i.e. Use "Sure-Fire" for the Player SC and "Easy Harvest" for the Story Mode SC) It would be kinda confusing to have two different SC's share one same name. Deathsoul4 18:43, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
Wait a minute, take a look at this:
Note that the spell card name is "Sure-Fire Master Spark" in the photo. Sorry for using up too much space for this page :S Deathsoul4 18:48, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
I forgot to mention that the second picture I posted up there is the one that's currently being used for the Story Mode SC's for Marisa. So maybe both SC's in both pages should now have the "Sure-Fire" instead of "Easy-Harvest", if both English patches are up-to-date versions? (If they're old versions, then ofc the name change wouldn't take place) Deathsoul4 18:55, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
As was mentioned in a previous comment, English Patch != 100% correct. There are many instances of previous translations being abandoned in favour of more accurate TLs that came after the patch was released, such as Sun Worship of Gnosis or Sky of Scarlet Perception. TLs offered by wiki editors/translators take priority over TLs patches offer.
In this case, both Marisa's Player SC and Story Mode SC share the one same name, 邪恋「実りやすいマスタースパーク」 (Perverse Love "Easy-Harvest Master Spark"). Jigglypuff8 offered reasoning for that TL in a previous comment. There is no reason for more than TL to exist. If you feel that "Sure-Fire" would be more appropriate, you may change both pages provided that you support your reasoning. - Kiefmaster99 18:59, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
I see... I'm sorry but what does TL stand for? Deathsoul4 19:07, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
