Just wondering, but is it possible to get the MIDI music files using the first BGM extractor tool? Or is everything limited to WAV extraction? --ArseneLupin3 15:50, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- The midi files are in the main .dat file. You just have to use a touhou .dat extractor. 62.1.29.210 17:17, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Gotcha. Thanks a load. Oh, and if anybody's wondering why I want the MIDI files, I'm going to extract the notes from them and turn them into sheet music. --ArseneLupin3 22:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- ...Well, now I'm stuck on which tool to use. Would I be fine using the Patch Making/Extraction tool, or do I need something else? --ArseneLupin3 02:44, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- coolier.sytes.net:8080/th_up3/file/th3_3996.zip works with all official touhou games, including SWR and SA demo, plus patchcon. 62.1.29.210 05:48, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Great! I just got the MIDIs now. Thanks a lot, you were very helpful. --ArseneLupin3 17:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

DAT packer?
Are there any DAT packers out there, as opposed to DAT extractors? --RufusQ 15:00, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Hey someone answer him. I'm looking for an IaMP datpacker myself.
Yeah, there is a DAT packer, but it only works on select versions, all the info is with the file: http://www.mediafire.com/?nmzeyjom32h --ZeikJT 09:06, July 3, 2010 (UTC)
How to use the BGM Extractors
Question: How do you use the Music Extractors?
- I'm seconding this question. The music in the Scarlet Weather Rhapsody demo is beyond awesome, but I can't figure out how to work that .wav extractor to get at it. I followed the instructions in the readme, but it didn't do anything...
How do I work another touhou bgm extractor? It just automatically closes each time I open it. It doesn't even have that "(insert program here) has encountered a problem and needs to close..." message.
I'll try to put some useable info into the newly created BGM page. Theultramage 16:54, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
