「判りやすく言えば、雪女の一種である。」 is translated as "To keep it simple, she is a type of fairy." While my dictionary does give fairy as a translation of (yuki onna), in the context of Touhou translation conventions 'fairy' implies that Letty is a 妖精 (yousei) like Cirno. Since Letty's entry is listed under youkai instead of fairies, I don't think she is supposed to be considered a fairy.
I think 雪女 should instead either be translated to something like 'Snow Woman' or 'Snow Maiden'. Thoughts? --70.185.101.18 02:30, 24 August 2007 (PDT)

Well, I'd say 雪女 is just what it is translatet to. A Yuki Onna is a type of snow youkai, so it should just be that. Not a fairy. Am I right?
Yeah, your dictionary is obviously not accurate enough in this case. Yuki-onna is yuki-onna. It falls under the general umbrella term of yôkai, but is definitely not a fairy as far as Tôhô is concerned. --爆龍 14:13, 24 August 2007 (PDT)
