Can she perhaps, be a Youkai known by the name Funa Yurei? (Ship ghouls) This Youkai hab it is sinking ships like her the Kanji is wrong though as Funa Yurei is spelled with 船 instead of an 舟 although they both read Funa —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.27.167.136 (talkcontribs) 13:41, August 17, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, she's a funa-yuurei. And you say "kanji is wrong", but the difference between 舟 and 船 is; the former is small-sized and the latter is quite big. So it's precise to use 舟 for the boat to make strokes with one paddle for only 3 or 4 people, and to use 船 for the ship with steampower, or more powerful than paddle and oar, for many many people. Probably Seirensen moves from the spirit power, so ZUN uses 船. --Masuo64 08:17, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

Question

was her first name Minamitsu or Murasa? I was getting confuse to this... -Dandan550 11:05, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Minamitsu is her personal name. Indeed, it seems confusing when your first glance is in Latin alphabet. It's easier to find the difference in Kanji! (Anyway, Minamitsu is strange name in Japanese...) --Masuo64 08:17, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

In her Main Profile article, it says she carries a "haidatsu", but it doesn't make sense in Japanese. Misread "柄杓" maybe? It's supposed to be read "hishaku".--Yoslime 10:10, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Name

Can someone explain what ZUN is talking about in her music theme description? And a translation of her name could help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Universalperson (talkcontribs) 04:36, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

村紗 is said to be a funa-yuurei to have been seen in Oki Islands, Shimane Prefecture. Maybe Murasa is a name for species, although historical traditional name has been almost named after the name of species, job, or region. --Masuo64 08:17, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
