I've been wondering this since i started looking at these...but...

...is there some important reason that none of the game translations include the endings? I just find it odd that i can't find these throughout the entire web without actually beating the game myself (and i'm struggling on normal :( ) --24.187.91.51 10:13, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

The reason for this originates with what ZUN once said, which was that he wants players to experience the endings themselves by actually beating the games. He resents having the endings put on the internet, as it spoils them for the pleyers who have yet to play or finish the game, and also freely reveals the endings to players that are not skilled enough to see the endings for themselves. At least, it was something like that.--ArseneLupin3 05:30, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I see...Has he by chance also said why Easy mode doesn't include the real ending to the game? I've been able to down easy mode but normal mode has to be at least twice as hard, which makes me think it'll be months before i can see the endings for myself (also why is it that it seems Cirno's first Special has to be handled in a completely different way in the two difficulties!?).To add IaMP and SWR had the normal endings on easy mode. I feel as if the endings are just making me more frustrated by dying

i was incredibly disappointed to find after finally beating sakuya that all i got was "okay! going home! problem not solved" :( --24.187.91.51 10:13, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure as to why ZUN didn't allow easy mode players to view the actual ending (there has been no official statement of reason). It appears that you could do that in all of the future games, just not EoSD... --ArseneLupin3 15:56, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm not a common contributor to this Wiki or anything, but reading this page over I saw that after you fight Meirin both the dialogue after the battle in the trial and the full game are the same...so why are they separated? :P --Twila27 18:38, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey guys, I finally figured out what the hell is going on with Marisa's conversation with Cirno. Knowing that 寒 is also used for the word "dull or uninteresting", maybe someone can clean up the new translation. Stupid puns that non-natives don't ever understand. Darkslime 16:28, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

How about instead of trying to keep the original meaning (which often doesn't work for puns), we try to play off the duality we have in English with the word hot (both "of high temperature" and "sexually attractive")? The new conversation could go something like:
Marisa: So you're the reason why it's so cold.
Cirno: It's better than being hot, isn't it?
Marisa: Not one for looks, eh?
Cirno: Something's not right with that...
Just a thought. If anyone happens to read this, let me know what you think.

The English patch uses "How cold of you." (cold = harsh). I suggest going with that. --TheSinnerChrono 07:20, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
