Title Translation[]

How do we get "sake" out of 美禄? I thought it might be a type or brand of sake, but the main hits I get for 美禄 are a phonetic translation of "Milo", the chocolate malt drink from Nestle. Unfortunately, I haven't nearly enough time right now to read through the article and check for context. And in any case, shouldn't it be "The Milo/Sake of the Gods", rather than "The God of Milo/Sake"?--Apcog 18:51, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Apparently, 酒は天の美禄 is a popular quote

"The Drink of the Gods" would be a better translation, IMO.

Much obliged for the response. I've looked into it a bit, and the word seems to be pronounceable as either "miroku" or "biroku". "The Drink of the Gods" works for me. "The Nectar of the Gods" or "Ambrosia" is more poetic, but perhaps not as applicable here.--Apcog 00:24, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
