Hi[]
OK, so some issues with the technical merits...
1. It could contribute to the characters' skill learning. 2. It could enable the player to buy certain items from a shop (well, this is what I think as one of the functions of earning technical merit) 3. It could increase the amount of Ethanol (definitely true, since it is clear that no events actually increase the ethanol amount) 4. It could increase the HP & strength of oncoming enemies (see the bestiary page. Chaoszero mentioned that the HP may vary depending on how much the player has progressed in the game, so it is likely that the technical merits may influence this).
Well, I'm in the middle of trying to figure out if there are any other functions of the technical merits. How does everyone think about adding these four to the place where the technical merits are mentioned? (Well they're speculation at the moment since indeed what the technical merits can do is a mystery, so we need to make some educated guesses from what's going on in the game as the player earn more technical merits) Deathsoul4 18:29, November 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Rawr! That Technical Merit is such a mystery...
- 1. Maybe character abilities, but skills for magic, witchcraft, machinery, and heavenly weapons are learned from "practice". I've defeated several Flandres(she gives like 4,000++ tech) and nothing. Then I just started spamming skills and boom, started gaining lvls "fast". Still takes a while though :/
- 2. Seems that certain enemies give a message "new items circulating", or something like that, when defeated. Takes a while and/or luck, and then you have to guess which item, since it doesn't say. So that's out.
- 3. The most probable theory.
- 4. Maybe? I personally think max Ethanol increases enemy toughness, and if tech merit increases Ethanol...
- Might I request someone else's Hp values for Flandre, Inaba: Mech, and/or Overload? Just a number is fine, no picture. Preferably with a low or mid Ethanol max. Mine is like 95% (beginning and end of the bar are almost the same distance apart from the sides of the box). And as a side note: Never use spells vs Satori. Trust me, it won't end well... 12,000 damage hurts when you only have like 600 hp ._. ChaosZero 22:41, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
