About Seihou
Seihou (西方) is a series of games related to the Touhou series but not created by ZUN directly; rather, the Seihou series is produced by former members of Amusement Makers who later formed Syunsatsu Sare Do. Seihou means "western," as opposed to Touhou, which means "eastern."
Additional InformationZUN produced some of the art and music in Shuusou Gyoku, the first game in the series. He also composed the music for and contributed a small amount of art to Kioh Gyoku. The three games in the series are Shuusou Gyoku, Kioh Gyoku, and Banshiryuu. Samidare is a seihou game in spirit, though it is not actually part of the series. Several Touhou characters have made appearances in the Seihou games, such as Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame in Shuusou Gyoku, as well as Yuka Kazami in Kioh Gyoku. Additionally, in the game Samidare, the mid-boss in the Extra stage is a reference to the Stage 4 boss battle in Mystic Square, as the mid-bosses act like Yuki and Mai. External links
