Spring was drawing to a close in the Hakugyokurou. In the end, the Saigyou Ayakashi blossomed, but not fully. Spring winds will soon blow away the remaining cherry petals, making it hard for the Netherworld's inhabitants to sleep peacefully.
Yuyuko "Ugh... The dream of spring winds blowing the petals away continues to haunt me even though I'm already awake." Youmu "Oh good morning, mistress." Yuyuko "I had an ominous dream... Spring winds blew our cherry petals away. Also a black wind." Youmu "A black spring wind? Aha, I bet you're referring to her."
Marisa "Good morning, glad to see you're awake." Yuyuko "Ah, you're still here. Spring has arrived in your world as well, why don't you go back?" Marisa "You're so direct. I am a rare and honoured human guest here." Youmu "She says that your presence is causing our cherry petals to be blown away." Marisa "They'll be blown away whether I'm here or not. I'm sure of it." Youmu "Would you rather clean up after the fallen petals?"
Yuyuko "Oh, the cherry petals will stop falling once the black thing goes home, Youmu." Marisa "They will definitely keep falling." Yuyuko "Shall we give it a try, then?" Marisa "If I return home, who'll confirm the outcome?" Yuyuko "I will, naturally." Marisa "That's not a fair gamble." Yuyuko "No one said we were making a bet. I was saying that you should go home. If you stay, they will fall. If you leave, you won't be around to see it happen. This is a checkmate." Marisa "Who said I was riding on the bet?" Yuyuko "Dunno." Marisa "Besides, this is no checkmate. All I have to do is to stay here and see to it that the petals stop falling, right?" Yuyuko "Everything is an indiciation that you should go home."
A cherry petal is like a human life. Wind makes little difference when the time comes for it to fall. Marisa believes that petals fall when flowers strive too hard to open.
