Main Profile

Over 1,400 years ago, the Mononobe family and the Soga family were having a religious war. Temples and statues were being burnt and destroyed.

However, one of the Mononobe daughters, Futo, worshiped a different religion, Taoism. Taoism grants the worshipers superhuman strength and immortality. Although, the Taoism faith had a major flaw; it was no good for political control. Futo practiced her Taoism in secret. One of her fellow Taoist, Toyosatomimi no Miko had a plan. Miko planned to govern the city as Buddhists while secretly being Taoists. Eventually, they will use a curse on their deaths to revive as a shikaisen.

Eventually, Futo became the Soga's allies.

Miko, who learnt about Taoism granting immortality from Seiga Kaku wanted to sleep to test it. Miko asked Futo to sleep first to see if it was safe. Futo, trusting Miko went to sleep and 'died' without decaying. Thus, Miko went to sleep as well.

However, the Buddhist monks knew Miko wasn't dead and place seals in the Miko's mausoleum to prevent Miko from resurrecting.

1,400 years later, Futo eventually woke up and encountered the heroines. At first she thought that the heroine come to celebrate her resurrection and decided to test her abilities on them (On Reimu's story),protect the mausoleum from grave-robbers(Marisa's story) or to remove her bewilderment(Sanae's story) or simply being attacked(Youmu's story). After she was being defeated, she was surprised on how strong the heroine was. After noticing that the heroine was being surrounded by divine spirits she quickly left making a pardon. Except in Youmu's story where she escorted to the mausoleum as Futo thought that Youmu is a Shikaisen.
