Letty is a seasonal youkai who's only seen during winter. Although she attacks the heroine early during Perfect Cherry Blossom she's half-hearted about it, so her true power isn't seen. She seems fittingly cold towards most of the humans she meets, and many humans fear her abilities.

Fun Facts

• She is said to have a larger hit box than other bosses, probably to make it easier for newbies. However, this fact led to a fan theory that she is fat. An alternate fan theory is that this indicates her having large breasts.
• She melts at the end of winter in some fan comics.
• In some fan comics, she sometimes is seen in a freezer or refrigerator, typically to hibernate between winters.
• Letty's name and personality are based on the character Letitia "Letty" Blacklock from Agatha Christie's book "A Murder is Announced".
• The brooch on her dress resembles the alchemical symbol for silver, coinciding with her theme, "Crystallized Silver". Due to its shape she is also sometimes seen wielding a trident in fanart.
• There is confusion over whether she is a snow spirit or the Spirit of Winter, which leads to some conflicting cases when she disappears at the end of winter or just doesn't feel like appearing.
• In her interview with Aya, Letty states that she hibernates during summer.
• While she is often portrayed as Cirno's friend and mentor, Letty makes a comment in the interview with Aya that could possibly be interpreted as evidence to the contrary.
• Some fanfics depict her calling herself 黒幕 (Literally: "Black Curtain", Romanized: Kuromaku, Meaning: "puppeteer", "manipulator", "wire puller", "political fixer", "mastermind") from Sakuya's Scenario of PCB.

What Winter Left Behind Letty Whiterock Stage 1 boss. A youkai of the winter season who can be found in places without heat. Her ability mainly allows her to control cold. Letty is happiest during winter. She gets in the way of Reimu and her companions because they threaten to put an end to her time of greatest happiness. However, Letty and her fellow winter spirits as well as sufferers of hay fever know well that spring, a season of depression, comes every year. She accepts that fact and never attacks players seriously. When spring comes, she will disappear to unknown whereabouts.

Aya finds Letty Whiterock who just had been, for no apparent reason, beaten up by a human and left buried in the snow. They talk about the long winter, and Aya suspects her as the culprit. Letty attempts to explain the fine details of her abilities and the hardships of her life, but fails to earn Aya's sympathy in the end.
