This page covers characters that can join your party in the Plus Disk (21F - 30F). The recruitments assume that you have already completed the game and installed the Plus Disk.

20F: Unlock all the seals, then defeat Maribel Han Ver. 2
She will show up in the Scarlet Devil Mansion (post-game)
Play Notes
A pure battle supporter, Renko's use is as one of the strongest buff/debuff characters available. Galaxy Stop, her "only" attack spell, ignores MND and provides a powerful SPD debuff with paralysis, and Debilitate is one of the best debuff spells out there. Statwise, she's mediocre stats aside from passable HP, and has only average affinities and poor status resistances. Don't bother raising her MAG stat at all; it needs to stay low since Charge actually hurts your party and she doesn't have the spell formulas to do any real damage anyway.

Play Notes
Maribel isn't a hugely impressive character on paper, but makes up for it with an immensely powerful self-buff spell in Overflowing Unnatural Power. Because it boosts everything, Mary can make use of about every stat, be it for more damage or increased survivability. Unfortunately she's rather average as a damage dealer without the buff; thanks to its huge delay her best use against random battles is her debuff spells, neither of which is hugely powerful anyway. If you do use her, make sure to equip for her low status resistances and low FIR/MYS affinites. Maribel isn't terrible by any means, but she generally needs extra effort just to pull even with the stronger members of your team.

Recruitment
21F: Recruit Kanako
21F - 24F: Find events to set up Control Rods, one on each floor
21F: Return to where Utsuho is held and defeat her
Play Notes
An archetypical glass cannon, emphasis on cannon, Utsuho isn't terribly durable, and aside from excellent debuff resistance has almost no protection from statuses. Half of her affinities are excellent as well, notably FIR, while the other three are dismal. She's an SP-intensive character, since her spells are expensive and her playstyle generally involves debuffing the enemy and/or buffing herself and nuking enemies with Giga Flare. Long delays and her tendency to get hit hard mean she needs to be switched in and out often, but she can put out serious FIR or MYS damage while out there.

Recruitment
1-20F: Achieve 3 stars
21F: Find an event regarding a sigil and Kanako. Then find Kanako
Play Notes
Yet another "more damage" character, Kanako is similar to Yukari in that she has good HP and defenses, so she can take a few good hits. She also has excellent affinities and mostly good ailment resistance, although she's prone to debuffs or instant death. Offensively, Misayama Hunting Ritual targets the enemies' DEF, allowing her to fight high MND enemies easily, and Mad Dance on Medoteko is composite, though it doesn't factor much of the enemy's DEF and Kanako's ATK isn't great to start with. Kanako's strength is being able to last a while in the front line and deal respectable damage while out there.
Removes stat debuffs for all allies. In-game description says it is a single target spell, but it is multi-target

Recruitment
1-20F: Achieve 3 stars
21F - 23F: Find a sunflower, rhododendron and daisy
24F: Use the 3 flowers to get to Yuka's location, and defeat her
Play Notes
Yuka's stats are quite odd. Although she has good ATK, its wasted since her spells are MAG based, while her DEF is good but her MND isn't. Otherwise, she is useful in a lot of ways. Yuka can spam Flower Shot when fighting one enemy, and Gensokyo's Reflowering, while not a substitute for real healing, can help out when you can't send in Reimu. Beauty of Nature damages enemies while also removing allies' debuffs. Her Master Spark is very similar to Marisa's, but Yuka's version trades power for damaging all enemies, which is useful for group bosses or even strong random groups. Keep in mind she is prone to Silence, Death, Debuffs, FIR and CLD elements; otherwise Yuka is a MAG powerhouse.

Recruitment
21F: Reach the 21st floor.
1F: Find her just south of the dungeon entrance
Play Notes
Mystia, although average at first glance, can be an incredibly useful character. Her attacks are quite powerful, but her ability as an attacker is limited by her low SP growth, mediocre stats, and terrible affinities. However, Mystia's true worth comes as a hit-and-run character. She has good speed growth, which allows her to get the first attack in random enemy encounters if boosted high enough. This, coupled with Poisonous Moth's Dark Dance, can prevent some of the most dangerous enemies from attacking at all; its long-lasting paralysis can allow the rest of the party to catch up while the poison drains HP. Mysterious Song's unique ability to change status debuffs into buffs can be very effective against debuff-happy enemies or bosses, and her stellar ailment resistances make her all but invincible against such attacks. All in all, Mystia is a hidden gem who shouldn't be overlooked; she can be a valuable asset, especially on the upper floors.
24F: Take the now-unsealed teleporter and find Keine
Play Notes
Keine is the very definition of average. Other than her good HP growth and high affinities, she has average stats, average resistances, and average attack spells. Since she can target both DEF and MND for an average amount of damage, she can be used as an attacker, but there are characters more suited for it. Her buffs are nice, but yet again, there are better support characters. Keine might have been a useful character if she joined early in the game, but halfway through the Plus Disc she's completely outclassed.
The last character you will get, Sikieiki is a powerhouse that can severely damage any enemy. Last Judgment is a must-use spell in single boss battles since it uses ATK and completely ignores DEF, while the other two are normal (although powerful) multi-target MAG attacks. You should concentrate mainly on raising her ATK stat, unless you plan to use her in random battles (if so, raise her MAG as well). Sadly, she is prone to Debuffs, PSN, PAR, and her DEF stat is relatively low, leaving her vulnerable to physical attacks. Otherwise she is recommended for use, especially against enemies with high defensive stats or elemental resistances.
