A kitsune is a type of youkai that closely resembles a fox in both manner and appearance. According to folklore, the more tails a kitsune has, the more powerful he or she actually is. A kitsune's greatest power is that of illusion, and would be able to trick a human into seeing almost anything they wished. Because of this ability, they are usually regarded as playful tricksters in many stories.
Once a person has won the trust of a kitsune, it will be difficult for others to convince that kitsune otherwise. They are extremely loyal to those they trust, and would often do anything for those people.
