Yuyuko	妖夢、おいてかないでよー…	Youmu, don't leave me alone here...
Youmu	何言ってるんですか、夜は短いのですよ！ 早く敵を見つけて斬り潰すのです。	Hurry up, my Lady, the night is very short! We must find the villains and cut them to pieces as soon as we can!
Yuyuko	いや、そうじゃなくて……。	Um, I meant...

Youmu	さぁ、斬られる前か潰される前に、 どこに行けば良いのか言いなさい！	Then tell us where we should go to restore the moon, or you WILL be!
Yuyuko	妖夢のそれは、夜明けのテンションよ。 おいてかないで、って言ったじゃない。 まだ夜は始まったばっかよ。	Youmu's so fired up, it's like staring at the sun. I told you not to leave me, there's nothing to shout about. The night's only just started.
Wriggle	なんなのよ、こいつら。	Wha... what are you freaking out about?
Yuyuko	あれ？ 目の前に大きな蛍が居るわよ。	Oh? Look, there's a big firefly there.
Youmu	気付いて無かったのですか……	You've just noticed, my lady? [Unlike Youmu, Yuyuko is not focused on this task at all. She honestly didn't notice Wriggle until now...]
Yuyuko	蛍見も良いわね。 妖夢、寄り道していかない？	Let's take a side trip. Youmu, would you be interested in firefly-watching?
Youmu	今のどこにそんな時間があるのです！ 虫なんてこの楼観剣で……	We seriously don't have time for that! I'll slice that bug to ribbons with my Roukan-- [She was about to say "Roukan-blade", the longer blade of her pair.]
Wriggle	そうやって話している時間が一番長い！ 蛍様が出て喜ばない奴なんて、 久しぶりに見たよ！	All this talk is wasting my time! I can't believe there are people like you who despise fireflies!

Youmu	幽々子さまは、狙いを定めないから 敵を討つのに時間がかかるのです。	Lady Yuyuko, it took too long to defeat the enemy because you don't focus your shots enough. [Still, don't you think Youmu's shot should be spread out more?]
Yuyuko	あら、急がば回れ、って言葉知ってる？	Doesn't the saying go, "take the long path while in a hurry"?
Youmu	あぁ、急いでるんでしたね。 結局、次はどこに行けば良いのでしょうか？	Yes, we're in a hurry. Well then, where should we go next?
Yuyuko	どう？ この枝が倒れた方に進んでみない？	Say... How about we see which way this branch falls?
Youmu	そんなんでいいんですか……。 って、そんなに傾けてたら、手を放す前に 倒れる向きが決まっていますよ。	Is this really going to work...? Wait, with the way you're holding that, there's really only one direction it'll fall.
Yuyuko	くるくるくる～、っと。	Round and round it goes~ [Horribly loose translation here... otherwise can it be "Kurukuru kurukuru~"?]

Stage 2

Wandering into darkness

	人間の消える道	Path of Human Disappearings
	人間の通り道も、真夜中に出歩くものは獣か妖怪位。 少なくとも人の姿が見える筈も無い。	At midnight, only beasts and youkai are around the human pass. There aren't any human-like forms to be seen.

Mystia	ちょ、ちょっと待って～！	Wait, waaaait!!
Youmu	あんた邪魔だって。	Step aside, then.
Mystia	あなた達には私の歌声が届かないのかしら？	Aren't you at all affected by my song?

Mystia	もしかして人間じゃ無いの？	Hmm, perhaps you're not human?
Yuyuko	夜だというのに、雀の鳴き声がするわ。妖夢。	My ears catch a sparrow's song. Are there really sparrows awake at night, Youmu?
Youmu	幽々子さま。 この鳴き声に惑わされないで下さい。 これは夜雀の鳴き声。 最も不吉な音です。	Lady Yuyuko, please don't get distracted by this song. That's the song of a night sparrow. It's of the most accursed sounds in the world.
Mystia	不吉なんて失礼ね。 それに、幽霊が出る音よりはなんぼか マシでしょ？	How very rude of you. At the very least, my singing is better than the sounds of approaching ghosts.
Yuyuko	ええそうねぇ、比べ物になりませんわ。	Yes indeed, it's no contest at all.
Youmu	否定して下さいよ～。	You aren't supposed to AGREE with her... [Yuyuko's a ghost, after all...]
Yuyuko	妖夢ほら、鳴き声がまた強くなってきたわ。 何処から聞こえてるのかしら。	Youmu, the song is getting louder. Where is it coming from?
Mystia	ああもう、人間でも人間だった奴でもいいや。 これから、楽しい妖怪祭りが始まるよ。	Well, whether you're human or not doesn't matter to me anyway. Now, let's start the youkai carnival!
Yuyuko	さぁ妖夢、先を急ぎましょうか。	Okay Youmu, let's move on.
Youmu	え？えぇ、そうですね。そうですけど。 それにはまず、目の前の鳥を落とさないと。	Eh? Err, yes ma'am. But actually, before we can leave, we have to shoot down that bird.
Yuyuko	雀は小骨が多くて嫌いなの。	I don't like sparrows, they're too bony.
Mystia	通すもんか！	I won't let you pass!
	BGM: もう歌しか聞こえない	BGM: Nothing but song to listen to
	Mystia Lorelei DEFEATED
Youmu	夜雀が出たって事は、じきに妖怪か何か が集まってきます。 その前にここを去りましょう。 先を急ぎますよ。	Lots of youkai will be attracted by that night sparrow's song... Let's move on before they arrive. We must hurry.
Yuyuko	ちょっと待って。小骨が……	Hold on for a moment. A small bone got stuck in my throat...
Youmu	さっき、嫌いって言ってたじゃないですか。	Wait, didn't you just say you didn't like sparrows?
Yuyuko	妖夢、好き嫌いは良くないわ。	Youmu, it's not good to be so fussy. [Poor Mystia... Still, you can't be certain about if Yuyuko really ate her or if she's just joking, though. In EoSD, Remilia talks like Reimu has killed Sakuya... but then, Sakuya's alright in the end. One thing for certain is, Yuyuko has earned the title of "big eater", and Mystia has earned the "officially food" title from this conversation to fans.]

Stage 3

Wasn't there a village here?

	歴史喰いの懐郷	The History-Eater and the Remembered Village
	一車道の先には人間達が住む小さな里がある。 だが里があるはずの場所には、何も、無かった。	At the end of the pass, there was a small village where humans lived. But when they reached there, the village is nowhere to be found...

Keine	お前達か。 こんな真夜中に里を襲おうとする奴は。	Who are you? Trying to attack the village so late at night?
Yuyuko	あれ？ 変な所に迷い込んでしまったわ。	Oh? It seems we've lost our way.
Youmu	ここは何処でしょう……？	Yeah, where are we...?
Keine	迷子の振りしても無駄だ。 不吉な亡霊達よ。	There's no point in playing innocent. I can tell you're evil ghosts.
	Keine Kamishirasawa PAUSES
Keine	くそ！ 亡霊がなんで。	Crap! These ghosts are really something.
Yuyuko	酷いわね。 亡霊を人外扱いして。	How cruel. So this is how ghosts are treated in the outside world?
	Keine Kamishirasawa EXITS
	Keine Kamishirasawa ENTERS
Keine	こんな所まで何の用だ？	What are you doing in this place?!
Yuyuko	さっき、攻撃してきたでしょ？ そのお返し、よ。	You attacked us first, right? We were just responding.

Keine	ここには何も無い。 さっさと通り過ぎるが良い。	There is nothing around here. Just move along already.
Youmu	といっても、実は目的地が分かって いないので……。	But honestly, we have no clue where we're headed.
Keine	当ても無くふらふらしているのか？	Are you wandering around without purpose?
Yuyuko	いやいや、妖夢。 ちゃんと目的地に向っているわ。 あなたは私の言う通りにすればいいのよ。	No, no, Youmu. We're certainly heading in the right direction. All you need to do is follow me.
Keine	お前達の目的とは何だ？	What is your purpose?
Youmu	この異常な月を元に戻す事。	To restore the corrupted moon.
Yuyuko	いやいや、妖夢。	No, no, Youmu.
Youmu	！？	Eh!?
Yuyuko	素敵でお腹いっぱいな夜の観光旅行。	It's a wonderful midnight snack tour across the land.
Keine	なんだか物凄く怪しい奴等だな。 ただでさえ幽霊は怪しいのに。	You two are really suspicious. Even more suspicious than typical ghosts.
Youmu	まて、それは聞き捨てならないな。 幽霊は怪しくない。	Wait, I can't just let you get away with saying that. Ghosts in general aren't suspicious.
Yuyuko	いやいや。	No, no...
Youmu	うるさい。	Shut up. [Poor Youmu...]
Keine	……やはり、お前達は危険そうだな。 ここから追い出すしか無さそうだ。 よく分からん奴らだが。	...So, as I expected, you're a truly dangerous bunch. I must try to drive you away from here. Still, I don't understand what you're doing here.
Yuyuko	ねぇねぇ妖夢。 今日は、虫、鳥、と来て次は獣よ。	Hey Youmu, we've had a bug, a bird, and next up is a beast.
Youmu	何が言いたいのですか。	What are you trying to say, m'lady?
Keine	ふん、お前達の歴史は全て頂く！	Dammit, all of your history will be mine!
	BGM: プレインエイジア	BGM: Plain Asia
Keine	お前達が幽霊になる前も、全てだ。	Including your deaths, too!
Yuyuko	次は龍かしらね。	I bet a dragon will be next. [She's kinda right. Read on and you'll see.]
Youmu	幽々子さま。次の事考える前に 目の前の事を考えてください。	Lady Yuyuko, please concentrate on NOW, not what happens NEXT.
	Keine Kamishirasawa DEFEATED
Youmu	獣、って人間を獣扱いしないで下さいよ。	You said a beast, but a human is not a beast, m'lady.
Yuyuko	いやいや、妖夢。 この娘は今は人間の姿をしているけど、 半分獣よ。あなたみたいね。 もっとも、人間も獣だと思うので足して ２半獣かな？	No, no, Youmu. She looks like a normal human now, but in fact she's definitely a half-beast. Well, humans are a kind of beast too, so doesn't that make her a full beast?
Keine	くそ、月が不完全じゃなければ こんな幽霊なんかに……。	Grr, if the moon hadn't been corrupted, such ghosts wouldn't be...
Youmu	そうそうそう。 満月を取り戻さないといけないんでした。	Oh, yes, yes. We're here to restore the full moon.
Yuyuko	さぁ、次は龍料理ね。 楽しみだわ。妖夢。	The next meal should be a dragon dish. I can't wait, Youmu! [She's using a weird metaphor (dragon dishes) for Kaguya. The original story of "The Shining Princess (かぐや姫)" is also known as the "Story of the Bamboo Lumberer (竹取物語)". If you read 竹取 literally, it can be read as "take bamboo off". Now, both the title and BGM of Stage 5 have the word "cage". In kanji, "cage" is 籠, and taking "bamboo" (竹) from that makes "dragon" (龍)...]
Youmu	幽々子さま、目的地は分かっているって 言ってましたよね？ なんか不安になってきましたよ。	Lady Yuyuko, didn't you say you knew where to go next? I'm getting concerned.
Yuyuko	でも、龍は鱗が多そうね。	However, a dragon would have many scales...

Stage 4 Powerful

Encountering an old friend

	魔力を含む土の下	Underneath the Mana-Saturated Soil [There are several translation candidates for "魔力", straight "Magic Power", or "Mana", etc... I used mana in this case, but I believe there's something better.]
	力強い竹の下には、さらに力強い根が張り巡らされて いる。表面しか見れないのは愚かな人間と妖怪だけだ。	These bamboo trees are strong, but they have even stronger roots under the soil. Only foolish humans and youkai would use only what they see on the surface.
	BGM: 永夜の報い　～ Imperishable Night.	BGM: Guilty of Eternal Night ~ Imperishable Night
??	動くと撃つ！	Stop or I'll shoot!
	Marisa Kirisame ENTERS
Marisa	間違えた。 撃つと動くだ。今すぐ動く。	Never mind. If I shoot, you'll move. Ah, I moved.
Youmu	何？ こんなところで遭うなんて珍しい。	What? How unexpected, seeing you in such a place.
	普通の黒魔法少女 霧雨 魔理沙 Marisa Kirisame	Ordinary Black Magician Girl Marisa Kirisame
Marisa	さぁな。私はいつも通り、迷惑な妖怪を退治 しているだけだぜ。	Well, well, I'm not doing much, just hunting disturbing youkai as usual.
Youmu	迷惑って、誰がこんなことしたか知ってるの？	Disturbing, you say... so you know who the person behind all this is?
Yuyuko	だからー、普通は判るわ。	Only fools couldn't figure it out.
Marisa	そりゃ判るぜ。 こんな所に妖気集めた奴が飛んでいればな。 明日は待ちにまったお月見の日だ。 今日の月なんてもう見飽きたぜ。	Of course I figured it out. Who else can it be, when the girls flying in front of me shine with such a dazzling spiritual ki? Tomorrow is supposed to be the day I enjoy the harvest moon festival. I already got bored of staring at tonight's moon. [Ki: Japanese term for the universal life force, mental and spiritual power.]
Yuyuko	あら、判って無さそうね。 夜を止めているのは私達。	Oh, you only understand a little bit. We are the ones who froze the night, but...
Marisa	お前達だろ？ だからやっつけに来たんじゃないか。	You don't think I know? Because of that I've come to kick your butts.
Youmu	そこの黒いの。 後ろの歪な月を見て何も感じないのか？	Black-clothed one, don't you sense anything wrong with the moon behind you?
Marisa	もう見飽きたって言っただろ？	Didn't I already say so? It's boring me.
	BGM: 恋色マスタースパーク	BGM: Love-colored Master Spark [This song is an arranged version of "Love-colored Magic" from Story of Eastern Wonderland.]
Youmu	現実に目を背けるな。 こうしている間にもあの歪な月は沈む。 放っておけば大変な事になるのが 判らんのか？	You have to face reality here. Every moment we waste arguing, the corrupted moon sinks lower in the sky. How can we leave things like this, when the entire world is in serious trouble?
Marisa	あー？夜が終らない方が大変だぜ。 竹だって、一日が終らなければ永遠に成長 するかも知れない。 それこそ月まで、でもな。	Ehh? An endless night will cause far more trouble for sure. For instance, the bamboo here will grow eternally if the night lasts too long. Might even reach the moon, perhaps.
Yuyuko	出る杭は打たれるの。 あれ？打つと動くんだったっけ？	But tall trees tend to get cut down. Ah, didn't you say if I shoot, you'll move? [Yuyuko is using the adage, "出る杭は打たれる (A tall tree catches much wind)" in the first line. It is somewhat similar to "The nail that sticks out gets hammered down." In the second line, Yuyuko talks about shooting Marisa. In Japanese, both 打つ (hit/hammered) and 撃つ (shoot) are read as "utsu", so she made a pun with Marisa's "If I shoot, I move" and "hammering". There might be a better translation for whole sentence, but for now the pun has been removed.]
Marisa	ああ、動くぜ。 夜が明けるまで動いてやるぜ。	Oh, I'll move all right. I'll keep moving until I see the dawn!
	Marisa Kirisame EXITS
Youmu	幽々子さま、逃げましたよ。 追いますか？	Lady Yuyuko, she's running away. Shall we pursue?
Yuyuko	困ったわね。 私達もあっちに向ってるんだけど……。	I don't see why not. Our goal is in this direction too...
	Marisa Kirisame ENTERS
	Marisa Kirisame PAUSES
Marisa	撃ったから動いた。 さぁ、これからが本番だぜ。	Okay, you shot, I moved. Now, let's start the real battle!
Youmu	まだやるのか？ もう勝負あっただろう？	You still want to fight? You honestly think you're a match for us?
Marisa	ふん。 そっちが二人なら、こっちは二回だ！	Damn, well, there's two of you, so I get two tries!
	Marisa Kirisame DEFEATED
Youmu	とんだ無駄な時間を過ごしてしまった。	We've wasted so much time, m'lady.
Yuyuko	幽霊に無駄な時間なんて無いの。 全ては筋書き通り。	For a ghost, there is no such thing as wasted time. Everything is going as planned.
Marisa	くそ。 一体、何だと言うんだ？	Damn. What on earth are you guys doing?
Yuyuko	一瞬も全て。全ても一瞬。 あなたと遊んでいる時間も必然よ。	A moment can last forever. An eternity passes in an instant. The time we spent on this fight was inevitable too.
Youmu	あれ？ 竹林の奥に大きな屋敷が見えます。	No way! I see a giant mansion in the middle of the bamboo forest.
Yuyuko	妖夢。 判らない方がおかしいって言ってたでしょ？ そこに居るわよ。 探していた龍料理が。	Youmu, didn't I say only fools wouldn't figure it out? Inside that place... Is the dragon dish I've been searching for.
