I'm really curious about why there are no translations of the endings of some of the games here, such as Immaterial and Missing Power. I'd really like it if the endings could be put up. I like the games, but health issues make it a struggle to complete a game at all. Some of the regular shooters are missing endings in their translations too. If the endings can't be posted here on the wiki, is there a place I can go to see them?. 76.126.71.112 00:19, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Err, no, the endings of the games won't have translations here, nor will they be put here. It was kind of requested by ZUN not to put the endings on the internet so that players can experience the endings for themselves. In other words, you have to complete the games yourselves to actually experience the endings. As for a place you can go see the translation and endings freely, none is coming to my mind. Sorry I can't be of much help. --ArseneLupin3 02:13, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
And yes, this means that people who play Phantasmagoria of Flower View and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody are hosed. Incidentally, those two games have the most endings in the entire series; total combination = 29! --Parasepsis-Ezza
Until translation patches are released, of course. Incidently, there is a PoFV translation in work that seems to only be missing ending translations. Qazmlpok 20:53, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Isn't it a bit of a problem to be required to beat the game to see the ending? I don't mean this as in we shouldn't have to. I mean that unless you know japanese (and probably pretty well),beating the game for the ending is redundant because even when you win you DON'T KNOW THE ENDING. I'd assume this is especially cruel in the bullet hell games because if they aren't translated, you essentially need to pray you can beat the game again (i don't know how big an issue this is,as i refuse to move on until i see a good ending of EoSD,though since i recall hearing you don't need to win on normal after EoSD it's probably not as bad right?)
This essentially also would make translations harder wouldn't it? It would mean the translator needs to know japanese, english, and be able to obtain the endings himself since few people are willing to actually say it.
I dunno...it feels like this is very problematic if you don't know japanese. It took me nearly a year (not sure of exact length) to see patchouli's ending in SWR because it took that long for the translation to be released...and i doubt i'll see the others anytime soon because i've pretty much burned myself out of SWR and am currently on UNL (which i,once again, don't know the endings of even though i beat the game! >.< )
I do love the dedication to ZUN,but at the same time i absolutely hate not being able to know what happens even after beating the game thousands of times--Anon2057 00:30, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Post a link on my talkpage to a screenshot of your desktop as you've beaten whichever end boss in Hisoutensoku along with your email and I'll email you a wordpad document with the Japanese lines with English translation. It will be a few days but I'm just about done. If you beat the game you deserve to see and understand the ending. TheTrueBlue 02:53, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
- I'm guessing it won't count if i show a piece of the afterword? i rushed past the score screen for sanae's story by habit :( ----Anon2057 00:30, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Err just post a link to a screenie of your desktop with the Th12.3 window open and showing you beat it and we'll see. You could always just beat it again. TheTrueBlue 00:26, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah i know,it's just i'm terrible with Sanae and hate fighting reimu :(.Will a picture of Suwako nearly beat be enough? i still got a replay --Anon2057 00:30, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
- If you have plenty of health and it's obvious you're about to finish the level successfully it should be fine. With Reimu's expanding sqaures spellcard go to where she stops and superjump up as the rings come out so the square expands past you, use 8+A or charge and shoot a B bullet to stay in the safe zone, shoot charged B bullets -> C bullets -> into any move or do crouching B into crouching C when she leaves the screen and she'll run into them herself. Every 1 of 4 or 5 times though Reimu will do a sneaky death ring that surrounds herself only and expands very slowly. Kanako's Wind Tunnel or the 236 card that shoots white crystals is good as well, timing is everything, but if fail too often the trick expansions will chip your health away even if you're positioning is spot on. gl. And those tips above are for lunatic, not sure what you're playing on. But lunatic Reimu can be a pain if you mess up once or twice since there are many many ways to mess up and eat 5000+ dmg about half a bar. TheTrueBlue 00:47, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah...i'm not REALLY good at fighting games (can't remember combos well) so lunatic is probably out of my reach.I think at best i could finish hard mode but atm i'm doing normal
I can do that though,i got cirno and meiling so far, just gotta redo sanae--Anon2057 01:03, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
